I am positive!

The win at the Masters Golf Tournament by Tiger Woods in April was seen by many as solely the first win of a Major Golf Tournament by a person of color. While I agreed whole heartedly, I saw it as an example of the power of positive thinking. Tiger Woods believes that he is always going to win every tournament and I give credit for his success to this belief. Do any of us doubt that he would be as successful at any other endeavor. The belief in one's success is the root of positive thinking and the constant attention to our thoughts bring about our success. The roadmap for positive thinking is simple but it must permeate all aspects of our life. In order for positive thinking to be successful it must become a habit and therefore it requires practice. We must see the positive side of each situation and allow ourselves to believe that this side is the only acceptable outcome. We must see each failure as an opportunity for us to purify our belief for our next attempt. We must also recognize other aspects of life that enhance our ability to succeed. The most important of these is faith. Faith is necessary in order for us to succeed. Faith is our belief that the universe will orchestrate the circumstances necessary to bring us to our goals. The only one who keeps us away from our dreams is ourselves. Doubt is the main reason that we fail to achieve our highest goals. The path to success can be found if we follow these steps. We should visualize what we want. See ourself already there and trust that the outcome is inevitable. We should make positive statements and say often "I am a success.." and believe it! We should stop using the words "not" and "don't". We should never say what we don't want only what we do want. We should get into the habit of using the two most powerful words in the English language, often..."I AM.."
